Au cours de sa carrière, il a occupé des fonctions de senior manager et analyste principal au sein d’une association représentant l’industrie pétrolière et gazière à Bruxelles, de vice-président Recherche dans une start-up gazière américaine, ainsi que d’analyste senior du marché du gaz et d’analyste financier.
Au début des années 2000, il a été en charge de la sécurité d’approvisionnement énergétique au ministère français de l’Économie et des Finances, où il a contribué à la libéralisation du marché français du gaz et piloté le plan européen d’urgence gaz.
Expert reconnu des marchés énergétiques, THIERRY BROS a également été parmi les premiers à anticiper, dans son premier ouvrage publié en 2012, que la combinaison de l’essor de la production pétrolière et gazière américaine et de la transition énergétique européenne transformerait en profondeur le paysage énergétique et géopolitique mondial.
